| Extraordinary pair of bronze coated bookends portraying the world-famous Swiss monument to courage: The Lion of Lucerne. The Latin inscription above the dying lion says: "To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss." Mark Twain is reported to have described the original sculpture carved into the sandstone above the city as "The saddest and most moving piece of rock in the world." The bookends have a gold-toned bronze finish over gray metal and are marked MPc 413B.
